Dementia Therapy Specialists was co-founded by Dr. Daniel Nightingale and Kathleen Nightingale. We are based in Arizona, and offer mobile services in the Phoenix and Northern Arizona area in addition to traveling for speaking and training, and we are also available virtually.

Dr Daniel Nightingale (affectionately known as Dr Dan) is a leading UK Clinical Dementia Specialist now based in the US. Dr. Dan is the recipient of the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Dementia by Stirling University, one of the top schools in the world in dementia research.
He is also an author, writer and speaker, and a world leader in the use of hypnosis for people living with dementia. This follows his groundbreaking research with Dr. Simon Duff, which has led to the development of a training program for clinicians in this specialized therapy. Dr. Dan is founder and CEO of Dementia Doctor (UK), and co-founder and CEO of Dementia Therapy Specialists (US).

Gwenllian has spent a lifetime in nursing and care management, with powerful leadership and outstanding management abilities recognized in 2014 by Her Majesty, the Queen, with the award of MBE.
Born into a family of GPs and hospital consultants, Gwenllian has a lifetime commitment to nursing and care. She became a Registered Nurse in 1984 and subsequently specialized in orthopaedic care with the NHS. She later worked for the Red Cross where she planned and directed training.
For the past decade, she has owned a specialist care-sector training company alongside operating as troubleshooter within the medical care community; powered by a 1st class Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management, and operating to the highest possible level of discretion and confidentiality, she has undertaken manifold assignments up to (and including) the involvement of a Prime Minister and several Ministers and their government departments.
Born in Wales (UK), she is both a British and European citizen. Gwenllian speaks English, French and Welsh. She has two adult children.
